On September 19, 2022, The Band returns to the bandstand at Bonner Springs’ Kelly Murphy Park. Join us for 90 minutes of music. Dance if you wish, on the sidewalks or on the grass. First Christian Church should have some delicious treats for your donation. The fun begins at 7PM.

BYOLC! Bring Your Own Lawn Chair! We’re planning on having a swinging good time at Kelly Murphy Park in downtown Bonner Springs, KS. 7:00pm to 8:30. First Christian Church of Bonner Springs will have snacks available, and donations will be accepted to help with the charitable funds of the church. We’d love to see you there!

On Monday, April 25, 2022, Downtown Bonner Springs will be swinging with The Kicks Band at Kelly Murphy Park. The fun begins at 7PM with treats available for donation by First Christian Church, followed shortly by the band no later than 7:30.

You won’t want to miss our debut performance at Homer’s Coffee House! We’ll be having fun and playing your big band favorites, while you enjoy plenty of tasty treats and drinks brewed up by Homer’s team of barista’s. You must try their Gourmet Pop Tarts, and maybe a Mocha Cappuccino, or Mexican Hot Chocolate. Homer’s is committed to hosting great live music every weekend, and always without a cover charge. Get there early to get the best seat in the house!

We’ve missed playing for you guys tremendously, well guess what? WE’RE BACK, BABY!! It’s been a long year of hardships and pandemic cancellations, but we are happy to announce that we are back in business. With social distancing and mask wearing when appropriate, we hope to see you soon. If you know of any outdoor venues that are looking for live entertainment this summer, please let us know.

The Covid19 Pandemic has been hard on everyone. As move through the phases of reopening and the restrictions begin to relax, we are happy to announce that The Kicks Band will begin to start rehearsing again soon. Don’t worry, we will be following the guidelines, social distancing, and wearing masks.
We can’t wait to bring you the music and moments that we treasure, now more than ever.

Rest assured that The Kicks Band is practicing social distancing and taking a hiatus during this Covid 19 pandemic. Free Concert – March 8 – First Baptist Church of KCMO
The Kicks Band is honored to keep the big band memories alive with the Jazz Vespers program at First Baptist Church of KCMO, Sunday March 8 – 6PM to 8PM. This is a family friendly, free concert (donations will be accepted). Stick around after the concert for some refreshments. Songs that make your heart smile.
Jazz on The Lake X – Over The Moon 2/22/20
Happy New Year!! We’re looking forward to a great year with lots of swinging big band jazz.
First opportunity is Jazz on The Lake X – Over The Moon. Join us for a fundraiser to support children’s programs and collections at the Bonner Springs City Library. Enjoy live music by the Kicks band, dinner by Ross’s catering, live painting by Michael Potts, and a live and silent auction. Tickets are $50 each and will be available for purchase at the Library starting January 2nd. Must be 21 to attend.
